Short version: GameShard does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you add to the app stays on your device.
GameShard ("the App") is developed and maintained by Luca Manzoni ("I", "me", "my"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. By using GameShard you agree to the practices described here.
GameShard is designed with privacy as a default. The App does not:
All information you create inside GameShard — your game library, shelf assignments, ratings, notes, and play sessions — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to enable iCloud Sync (see Section 4).
If you enable iCloud Sync, your library data is synced across your own Apple devices via your personal iCloud account. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. I have no access to your iCloud data.
GameShard fetches publicly available game information (titles, artwork, descriptions, release dates) from the IGDB API, operated by Twitch Interactive. These requests contain no personal information — only a search query or game ID. Please refer to Twitch's Privacy Notice for details on how IGDB handles API requests.
GameShard offers an optional Premium subscription via Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. I do not receive or store any payment or billing information. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
GameShard does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App does not collect personal data from any user, regardless of age.
If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
